Our New Bench

A couple of weeks ago six of my best friends, Cindy and Paul Whiteman, Ellen and Terry Brennan and Dick and Patti Winsemius, surprised Mark, the kids and I with a bench at Lost Lake in the Muskegon State Park right in front of the weeping willow that my nephew Billy and his wife Anouk planted last summer.

Lost Lake is a great place to walk to because there are trails that are perfect for a Chariot. The bench overlooks the water where there are thousands of beautiful lily pads that are perfect subjects if you’re practicing photography. If you’re ever out there, please sit on the bench and take in the special scenery that our family has enjoyed so much over the years.

This is our bench.

  1. How perfect! We have gone out there many times to see the pitcher plants when our kids were growing up….such a special place just made a little more special.
