Slumber Party

Ever since my feeding tube surgery I’ve been sleeping on our couch in the living room with Mark sleeping next to me in the La-Z-Boy. While Corey was home for Thanksgiving last week he decided to camp out with Mark and I on the living room floor next to me on the couch. This was a welcomed break for Mark from having to fulfill my many requests during the night to reposition my lifeless body to a more comfortable position.

While Corey was lying next to me he reached up to hold my hand and it reminded me of when our kids were young and would wake up in the middle of the night and come into our room with their blankets and pillows. They would lie on the floor on my side of the bed and when they were nestled in, all comfy and safe, I would hang my arm over the side of the bed and hold their hand.

Now I know how loved they felt.

  1. Rosemary I remain in your debt for sharing such heartfelt posts. Each time there is any difficult situation going on I remember our pact to pray for each other’s children and family. I have always held you close in my heart and you and yours are always in my prayers. Corey, Bryan, Kelly and Chad (along with Deborah, Dana, Darci, Ron and Randall)we always thank God for His Gift of each of your lives and those you now share it with.
Mark and Ron you are both foremost in those prayers too.

  2. What a poignant posting on your BLOG….Thank you very much for sharing every heart-felt message. We love you all.

  3. I’m not sure you remember me, but I used to work with Kelly at HDVCH. I drove with her out to California when she took her first travel job. I met you the day we left after I was released from the ED with kidney stones. :) I just wanted to let you know that I’ve been following your blog since the very beginning. You are a true inspiration to me. I marvel at your strength and courage, and want you to know that I pray for you and your family daily. Keep the faith and stay strong.
